A visit to the most south westerly point in Europe during your stay here is pretty much essential. Portuguese, Cabo De Sao Vincente, offers views out across the rolling Atlantic ocean from the various look out points around the lighthouse which are dramatic and stunning. The most popular time to visit is of course at sunset but at any time of the day or indeed the year this 'Sacred Promontory' as it was know by the Greeks and Romans is breath taking. Little tip, take something warm as the winds can be cold and when the sun goes down here you really feel the temperature drop.
